I was active duty Navy for 25.5 years and am now a federal employee with retirement eligibility under FERS. I expecting to receive all three retirements (Federal and Social Security when I choose). Am I missing something here? Shouldn't my friend be eligible to receive both, reserve retirement at age 60 AND qualifying social security benefits? Thanks.
